    Update

Hey everyone, I figured I'd send out a quick update, seeing as nobody has posted on here in about 9 days now....(what's with that?)  Well, I go in for another dose of chemotherapy tomorrow (fun, fun, NOT).  Been fighting a cold and it just doesn't seem to want to go away.  I finally shaved off what was left of my hair last night.  I had a good friend cut her hair and donate it to locks of love yesterday as well.  Can't wait until May when I can go on up to Washington State and see some old friends and participate int he Relay for life (planning on doing the full 24 hours with the same friend who cut her hair).  Anyways, now I'm just rambling, but hey I figured somebody's gotta post on here.  Hope everyone is doing well.

HI Jake, Thanks for the reply to my blog. I am sorry to hear that you are battling cancer a second time around. I know that its always hard the first time as you really don't know what you are up against but I am sure the second time is much harder as you know what is going to happen.

I wonder if the thought of the cancer coming back stays with you forever? Please know that you are strong and even though its hard to have to go through a second time, you are a survivor and you will beat the monster again. Take care and keep the faith. Remember you have something to look ahead to, you have to continue your search for the new normal so to speak. Keep fighting, you will win this battle.emeralds69

Hey Jake, thanks for your response to my comments on your blog. I know how hard it is to go through cancer as I have been there myself. Sometimes its much easier for somone that has been through it already to understand what its like. I have also learned that you go through stages when dealing with cancer. Fist is denial, then anger , grief and finally acceptance and then you fight the good fight. Its one of the hardest things to do but its well worth fighting this beast called cancer. I know it will be hard to go through for a second time, but don't give up hope and believe in your heart that you are a survivor and will beat this. Take care, Paula
