Hello my friends, I just wanted to apologize for not being on lately.  I haven't actually been on since the end of September.  I have been sooooo busy with life and work and everything.  Well, here's my quick update:  I'm working for a security company now (the field I am wanting to go into, so that's good).  I am planning on moving around the first of the year back to Missouri, so wish me luck on that.  I am taking my son back closer to his mother.  Besides, I can't stand anything in Washington.  Forgot how miserable it was here.  Well, if you could, please write me back and let me know how everything has been.  If you have myspace my email address for a lookup is casperbear_CJ@hotmail.com.  or you could just email me there.  I check those a bit more often than I do lifelinkage right now.  Well, thanks everyone, and I hope you're all doing well.

    Update

Thursday, May 22, 2008, 07:31 PM CST [General]

Yo everybody, I know it's been a long while since I've been on the site.  Sorry for that.  I've had alot going on at home.  I'm moving Memorial Day from Missouri to Washington State.  I'm taking my son on a 2 day train trip up there.  Not looking forward to that considering he's only about 19 months old.  For those of you who didn't already know, I ended my treatments a little over a month ago.  I have something in the back of my head that says that it was a stupid thing to do, but at the same time, I am trying not to worry either.  I had to have my energy and strength restored for this trip, and the fact that I'm going to have to get a job & take care of my son as a single father when I get to WA.  I still had 2 chemotherapy sessions left when I stopped them, but I was in remission.  Next weekend I will be participating in a Relay for Life in Hoquiam, WA.  I'm on a team and everything, and planning on walking the whole 24 hours of the relay.  I'll keep all of you in mind as I do so.  I hope you all are doing well.  If you ever want to write me, feel free to do so at daveysdaddy@hotmail.com (I know, some of you had an old email address of mine that I am no longer using).  Well, take care everyone.

Well, I got the results of my PET scan yesterday.  It seems that I am now officially in remission.  I only have about 10 weeks of chemotherapy left.

    UPDATE

Friday, February 29, 2008, 09:48 PM CST [General]

Well, it's been over a month since I've graced the site with my presence (okay, just kidding...gotta have some kind of a fake ego at least).  My life has been pretty hectic the past couple of weeks though.  It all started with the week before the 18th.  I found out that my central line that I had in my chest was pretty much broken and needed to be replaced before I could have anymore chemotherapy given to me.  So on the 18th I had my old Groshong line pulled and a new one put in.  Does anyone else on here have a groshong line?  or have experience with one?  I have a double lumen line and only use one lumen, but my "oncologist" insists that anyone he's ever known who had the double lumen uses it.  I have never and will never have the need for the second lumen.  Anyways, back to the update, on the 22nd I ended up in the ER with the flu for 6 hours puking.  on the 25th I had a PET scan to see if the chemo is doing any good at all (mind you, this is the very first test since I have begun treatment in October, which is absolutely ridiculous).  This coming Monday I will be getting the results of that PET so wish me luck.  Anyways, that's my update and I will be sure to keep everyone informed.
